The Stages of Silicone Rendering

Remove all flaking paint and apply a red grit to allow bonding to base coat.

Remove blow render as required, if necessary, otherwise pin hollow render with stainless steel pins if required.

Apply a breathable silicon render base coat 5-6 millimeters.

Trowel in a mesh into the base coat, then scratch/base coat and allow to dry.

Renew all coin beads around doors, windows and bell drips.

Stabilize the surface and apply a primer bonding coat.

Apply a further 4-millimeter render on top of scratch coat and fine down.

Render a silicon mix top coat 1.5 mm in a colour of your choice to the render, the top coat material incorporates an active biocide that prevents algae/fungus growth and also eliminates penetrating damp at the same time allowing the walls to breathe.
